Company, Ages 8-18

Each year interested, experienced dancers audition for the Metro Dance Company Competition Team. Members meet September - June, compete at 3-4 local Regional dance competitions and some travel out of state for National Competition each summer. Dancers must attend weekly rehearsals and meetings and enroll in a weekly ballet class.

All Company dancers perform together in a group jazz number and have the opportunity to audition for other competitive pieces in Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Tap, Hip Hop, Pom and Ballroom

Competitive solo, duo and trios also available in discipline of choice.

Requirements:

• At least 3 years dance experience

• Ages 8-18

• Concurrently enroll in weekly ballet and Company classes

Apprentice Company, Ages 6-9

Apprentice Company gives young dancers a chance to experience competitions with other newer competitive dancers of the same age. Dancers meet for a 30 minute Apprentice Company class each week and must also enroll in weekly ballet and jazz classes. Apprentice Company performs at 2 local spring competitions.

Requirements:

• At least 1 year dance experience

• Age 6-9

• Concurrently enroll in a weekly ballet and jazz class
