Developed by Maestro Enrico Cecchetti, the Cecchetti method of ballet breaks the technique of ballet down to a science. Precise exercises are practiced in a set order each class, each building on the next. When ready, students are put up for examination and must pass before moving on to the next level of study.
Students are eligible to begin Cecchetti Grade 1 at age 7 and work through Grade 7. Each level takes 18-24 months of study to complete.
Students enrolled in a Cecchetti class are expected to also enroll in an additional ballet class (recital class, technique class, pointe class) to supplement their training. Cecchetti classes have a strict dress code including a black camisole leotard, pink ballet tights, proper shoes and hair slicked in to a ballet bun.
New Cecchetti students are eligible to enroll in Grade 1 during fall registration. Due to the syllabus based training, student can not enroll throughout the year.
Currently our studio has students studying Cecchetti Grade 1 - 6.
Private technique lessons are available in the Cecchetti method.
